If you are a Radioactive Materials Transport professional or user involved in radioactive materials transport and storage this conference is for you!
The Nuclear Institute is pleased to announce that the ninth in its series of Radioactive Materials Transport and Storage conferences will be held at the Royal Geographical Society in London on the 22nd to the 24th of May 2012. This conference will provide the opportunity to explore and debate the issues and challenges facing the industry and driving the delivery of vital transport services.
Global and national policies demand an awareness of the importance of delivering safe, reliable, secure and effective systems for the transport and storage of radioactive materials. These must be applied to the well established transport requirements of the nuclear and isotope industries, and increasingly to the demands of the decommissioning and long-term waste storage programmes. Safety and effectiveness of operation must be combined with cost efficiency and minimum environmental impact.
This conference will provide a forum for regulators, operators, users, buyers and designers involved in the transport of radioactive materials to debate and carry forward the questions and developments initiated by the industry, its customers and its regulators. It will provide the opportunity to share knowledge and experience to increase corporate and personal awareness of the latest trends and developments thereby contributing to business operations and career development.
The conference will be complemented by an exhibition and a technical visit. Previous conferences in this series have attracted keen interest, initiated lively discussion, and enabled valuable contacts to be established. This event is a “must” for all professionals involved in the transport of radioactive materials.
